Watch Your Mailbox for HRA Balance Updates
In the next two weeks, you should receive mail from the Fund Office with your HRA account balance. Using your balance on eligible medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision expenses is a great way to prevent health care expenses from eating into your savings.
The IRS determines which expenses are HRA-eligible expenses. The list of eligible expenses is more expansive than you might think. You can use HRA funds to cover your medical plan deductible, prescriptions, glasses, and more—but also routine, health-related purchases. Seasonal allergies? Use your HRA on over-the-counter allergy medication. Planning a pool day in the summer? Grab some sunscreen with your HRA.
